Making an Impact

Through education, collaboration, and community-driven initiatives, we’re empowering individuals to thrive in sustainable career fields. Finding financial stability through trades skills and grid stability by expanding knowledge on the benefits of electrification. We are transforming lives and supporting our shared energy future.

Our goal at LEARN is to support our shared energy future through reducing strain on the electric grid. We do this by empowering a workforce of trades professionals with the skills to create an energy-efficient San Diego. 

Join live webinars on sustainable building design, access free energy efficiency education, earn online certifications for energy efficiency, learn about renewable energy options, take classes on electrification, courses on building design, and HVAC training classes -- including courses specific to Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH) and home battery storage.  Upskill yourself, or your junior employees to master the art of renewable energy and help make San Diego a city of sustainable energy.

The LEARN Program is funded by California utility customers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission and implemented by RHA (Richard Heath & Associates) Now a part of Resource Innovations, under a contract awarded by San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®). Customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional services offered by the contractor.
